Joe Calomino has served as Government Affairs and Public Service professional with more than 20 years of experience managing administrative and outreach programs for elected officials, political campaigns and special interest organizations. Calomino provides comprehensive campaign management services, including development of district-specific strategies; voter identification/targeting; coalition development; grassroots mobilization; development of television, radio, direct mail advertising materials; media relations, and election-night coordination.

Calomino has successfully directed winning political and public policy campaigns throughout the state of Illinois including high level roles in several gubernatorial campaigns. Of special note, Calomino managed the winning campaign for town president of first time candidate, Larry Dominick in the Town of Cicero in which Calomino was credited with defeating the incumbent machine for the first time in over 70 years.

As state director for the prestigious national grassroots advocacy, Americans for Prosperity, Calomino recruited 62,000+ members from across Illinois to participate in free-market advocacy activities.

Successfully lobbied IL lawmakers to enact legislation to create online database of state spending. The new law earned praise from statewide print, radio, and television media.

Earned hundreds of print, radio and TV media interviews on behalf of government policy initiatives throughout the state of Illinois. Of note, Calomino was interviewed by Fox News Chicago in a television story exposing former Governor’s Blagojevich’s abuse of special interest influence, utilizing facts from personal investigations.

Served as a keynote speaker at Chicago Tax Day rally attended by 10,000+ Illinois residents.

Spearheaded a successful lawsuit to force Illinois Governor and Senate President to comply with FOIA laws.

Calomino is skilled in developing effective advertising and media strategies, voter identification and targeting to increase campaign reach and influence. He’s a seasoned political campaign manager with proven record of running successful campaigns for highly-competitive federal, state, municipal and special interests groups.
