The Illinois Republican Primary for Governor was a long, tough battle.  And when it was over, Bruce Rauner emerged victorious.  Out of the 819,710 votes cast, Rauner received 40%, while Dillard got 37%. Taking a look at the results gives you a sense of how the candidates performed – and how close the race was.
